Twila Simmons-Walker is currently employed full-time as the manager of education and outreach designed for students in grades K-12. She designs, selects and oversees the facilitation of instructional materials in traditional school settings, afterschool, and summer enrichment programs. Twila is the parent of three children all of whom have had/or still have a mental health diagnosis. She has a master's degree is psychology and is a certified K-12 school counselor. Twila is currently working to launch her newly formed nonprofit corporation, Third Child, Inc. which will provide early childhood services in an inclusion setting, and will assist families with advocacy and choice as it relates to the selection of services for their children. A major focus of the organization will be accommodating young children with behavior issues, and social skills deficits.
