The use of RTI as part of the Specific Learning Disability (SLD) identification process is a new and challenging aspect of the IDEA and Pennsylvania regulations. The Bureau of Special Education and the Bureau of Teaching and Learning, in conjunction with the RtI-SLD subgroup of the Statewide Response to Intervention Workgroup, has developed guidelines to determine eligibility for SLD. These forums provide the opportunity for public input and response to the draft guidelines.  You may also provide input by visiting www.pattan.net .
