Rose Baumann is a parent of a son with intellectual disability, autism, and apraxia of speech and an advocate for inclusion, educational rights, and effective instruction for differently-abled students. Rose was part of the first cohort of parents who participated in our Project for PEACE leadership development series in 2008. She put her PEACE training to good use by assisting other parents in her district with advocacy issues and establishing a parent networking group which included outreach to families beyond her district. In 2010, Rose was hired by the PEAL Center as a Project Coordinator for an Educational Rights grant funded by the PA Developmental Disabilities Council. In 2014, Rose joined the PEAL Center as a full time Parent Advisor.
